The 26th Conference and
AGM will take place in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil on 01th
- 04th September, 2010.
This will be the second meeting held
in Brazil (2001 and 2010) and certainly we from the organization are very happy

All the participants are invited for
a Welcome Party on Wednesday evening, in the Majestic Palace Hotel, from 19h00
- 21h00, and taste sorts of drinks and local specialities.
On Thursday, September 2nd,
the educational day will start at 09h00 with Stella Michaelsen talking about
“Task-oriented training with trunk restraint”, following by Sandra
Alouche who will present some researches about planning strategies for actions,
Adriana Conforto who is a great researcher about neuroplasticity and Transcranial
Magnetic Stimulation, and André Luiz Fernandes Palmini who will close
the morning presentations with the lecture about “Brain, Behavior and
Emotions”.
After the lunch time all the participants
are invited for the Brazil Educational Program - with Research presentations
and two very interesting workshops from 14h45 to 17h45.
So, after a very busy day, we invite
you for a typical Brazilian dinner at steak house with fantastic variety of
meat and salads.
On Friday, September 3rd,
Anne Shumway-Cook and Marjorie Woollacott, the authors of the "Motor Control"
will lead the day from 09h00 – 18h00.
At 19h15 we will leave the hotel to
a village which is called Santo Antônio de Lisboa, where there will be
a folcloric presentation and a special dinner will be served at the Villa do
Porto restaurant - www.villadoporto.com.br
Saturday 4th September is
the day of the Annual General Meeting and this meeting is planned from 9h00
am - 18h00. It will include a lunch break from 12h00-13h30 for all IBITA participants.
We would like to invite all of you
to participate of the post-congress course with Anne and Marjorie on 5 and 6nd
September where we will have the opportunity to discuss balance assessment and
also rehabilitation in different populations.
